This is the time of the year that many in the Southwest celebrate the memories of loved ones now departed, with Dia de los Muertos,The Day of the Dead. This Sunday, the holiday will be celebrated with a very special concert at the Herberger Theater featuring the internationally recognized Mariachi Champaña Nevín with the students of Rosie’s House and the Phoenix Boys Choir. K-Bach's Jane Hilton is joined by Dr. Jeff Nevin, Trumpet Virtuoso and founder of Mariachi Champaña Nevín.

Apollo's Fire Baroque Orchestra, renowned for their outstanding musicianship and emotionally moving performances, returns to the Valley for "A Night at Bach's Coffeehouse-Bach's Brandenburgs 3-5", 7pm, Monday, October 28th at the MIM. Award-wining Harpsichordist and Conductor Jeannette Sorrell shares her insights on baroque scholarship and the and universal powers of music.

This Halloween the AZ Pro Arte Orchestra will provide the accompaniment for the terrifying 1922 German Expressionist Film, Nosferatu- a dark tale based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Hans Erdmann’s original score has long been lost, so director Timothy Verville rose to the occasion and created a new setting of music by Dvorak, Brahms and Wagner to frame the film. AZ Pro Arte’s Composer-in-Residence, Christopher Norby, has also contributed original music for several of the film’s scenes. Christopher Norby joins K-Bach's Jane Hilton.

Arizona Opera opens the 2013-14 season with Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore, Friday, October 11th in Phoenix at Symphony Hall. Rob Fisher, conductor of Arizona Opera's production of Pinafore, joins K-BACH's Janine Miller.
