K-BACH Book Club

The K-BACH Book Club is a special benefit for Sustaining Members who give $10 a month or more to the station. Book Club members can participate in book discussions, author signings, and storytelling sessions. The Book Club is sponsored by Poisoned Pen Press.

Forty Dead Men book coverJoin us in reading Forty Dead Men, the tragic, bittersweet story of a returning veteran with PTSD. The novel, written by Tempe author Donis Casey, is a historical mystery. Here’s what Cathy Cole of Kittling Books in Phoenix has to say: “When I first learned that the primary detective was an Oklahoma grandmother, I was dubious. The more I read, the more I liked Forty Dead Men. The mystery is wonderfully constructed. It kept me guessing right to the end. And that ending! It was…I’m afraid any adjective I use will give things away. Let’s just say that I thought the ending was terrific.”

Thanks to Book Club sponsor Poisoned Pen Press, Donis Casey will join us for an author chat at the KJZZ Holiday StoryFest & Authors Showcase on December 1st at the Glendale Civic Center.
