Duart Martin

Duart has announced classical music for public radio listeners in Arizona since 1987. She is a contributing writer for Central Sound at Eight, a part of Arizona PBS, and host of ASU in Concert. She also operates the control room at Sun Sounds of Arizona, the radio reading service for the blind and visually impaired. In 2012 she received the Gold Microphone award as Volunteer of the Year at Sun Sounds of Arizona.

Duart always enjoys meeting listeners, and has moderated pre-concert discussions at Phoenix Symphony Hall. She has also been a volunteer reader of The Nutcracker for Ballet Arizona and Flagstaff productions. A familiar voice at Commencement ceremonies for Northern Arizona University, Duart reads literally thousands of names twice a year!

Duart loves seeing how the music and arts scene in the Valley continues to grow. She has been a contributing writer for AZ Lifestyle Magazine, and never misses an opportunity to take visitors to the Musical Instrument Museum. She has worked at KNAU-FM in Flagstaff, and served on the board of the Grand Canyon Music Festival.
