Join KBACH In Budapest, Vienna, And Prague Next Spring
Join KBACH staff and listeners for an 11-day overland trip that embarks from magnificent Budapest on May 7th and culminates in picturesque Prague on May 17th, 2020. Why then? Next year marks the 250th birthday of composer Ludwig van Beethoven—who called Vienna home—and the Prague Spring International Music Festival is celebrated in May.
Be part of this KBACH journey and you’ll enjoy four classical music concerts in historic settings, visit homes and museums devoted to Dvořák, Liszt, Mozart, and Beethoven, and go on an exclusive backstage tour of the Vienna State Opera House that will highlight the life of Gustav Mahler.
Enjoy the beauty and pageantry of classical music as it was meant to be experienced: in Europe’s most legendary symphony halls and opera houses!
You’ll join KBACH’s Matt Rogers on this trip. Matt Rogers is KBACH’s program director and the host of Reel Music on Saturdays at 6:00 p.m. He’s a North Carolina native who grew up loving film music, which evolved into an appreciation for all of classical music. Matt’s other loves include wine, travel, his cat Hattie, and the Oxford comma. “I’m so excited to travel with you and experience the culture and music of these amazing destinations,” says Matt. “You’ll return home with memories you’ll cherish forever.”
