This August the Grand Canyon Music Festival's Native American Composer Apprenticeship program is celebrating 10 years of music making. String quartet ETHEL has been the ensemble-in-residence for the program from its inception.
14-year-old Sade Moore was given an opportunity this year: a program at her school called “Heroic Journey” -so without formal classical training Sade chose to write a piece of instrumental music. She saw the program as an opportunity to challenge herself and stretch her abilities and her imagination.
