The Heart of the Arts: Metropolitan Youth Symphony Celebrates 35 Years

Click to Listen:

Every year for the last 35 seasons the Metropolitan Youth Symphony has been bringing young people together from around the Valley of the Sun to learn, share, entertain and enjoy making music. More than 300 young players are involved in a number of ensembles and their first concert of the year is coming up in November. Our Sterling Beeaff sat down with the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, Karalee Hagen, to learn more about the program’s history and plans as well as a little bit about her own musical journey…

Mark your calendar because the ensembles will give their Fall concert at the Mesa Center for the Arts on  Wednesday November 9th at 6:30PM. For more information visit   azmys.org  OR to keep up with concerts around the valley go to the EVENTS page at K-Bach.org.
