Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi
In a tale of revenge, lust, and innocence betrayed, the libertine Duke of Mantua seduces the sheltered Gilda, daughter of his own sarcastic court jester Rigoletto, and a father's protective love turns to a bitter thirst for vengeance.

Stephanie Blythe returns to Arizona Opera in the 'style japonais' universe only Gilbert and Sullivan could have imagined -- a sparkling and lavish comedy written at the height of their creative genius. Filled with charming and absurd characters whose antics reflect the social milieu and mores of 19th-century England, this popular operetta is sure to amuse and entertain.

L'Elisir d'Amore (The Elixir of Love) by Gaetano Donizetti
Love triumphs with the aid of a willing heart and a "magic potion". Donizetti's opera is sure to win hearts just as Nemorino wins his lady's favor through the magic of music. Critically acclaimed bass Donato DiStefano assumes the role of the traveling salesman, adding spice and hilarity to this comic story of true love.
