"Amadeus"
Starring Tom Hulce as Mozart, F. Murray Abraham as Salieri. This is not a totally accurate depiction of Mozartīs life, But thatīs OK, itīs not supposed to be! it is a beautifully filmed and acted version of Peter Schaefferīs stage play, though, and a very entertaining glimpse of our favorite composer.

Walter Matthau was a big Mozart Fan! this quote is from his official website, www.matthau.com.
"Walter was frequently referred to in the press, and by his peers, as "The Mozart of Actors." It is particularly fitting since Walterīs favorite composer was Mozart. Family and friends knew Walterīs passion for classical music well. His costars frequently spoke of how he enjoyed listening to classical music in the make-up trailer or singing bits of Mozart on the set. In fact, Walter was fond of sneaking subtle classical music and Mozart references into his film performances.
We invite you to look for these hidden "comedy notes" in which Walter sneaks in a musical reference here and there . Sometimes theyīre slipped into the dialogue. Other times Walter hums a favorite symphony or sings a few operatic notes. Occasionally, he can even be spotted wearing his favorite "Mozart" baseball cap.
Whether or not he managed to sneak in an homage to his favorite composer, Walter always gave a masterful performance.
Bravo, Walter."
