Lots of concerts this weekend, including a special program presented by The Sonoran Desert Chorale: The Requiem for the Fallen---a concert honoring the heroes of this nation who have given "the last full measure of devotion" in service to our country. The concerts are a prelude to the Sonoran Desert Chorale’s European tour this June, where they perform in Normandy as part of the official 70th Anniversary of D-Day.
Two fantastic musicians dropped by K-BACH studios this week: New York City based Violin & Piano comedy team Igudesman & Joo. The duo performs Wednesday, April 30, 7:30pm at the Mesa Arts Center. Believe us- they had staff in stitches, with their special brand of "Mozart hijacked by Monty Python" sense of humour!
Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil The Phoenix Chorale has announced that Chandos will be releasing their recording of Rachmaninoff's "Vespers" next year - a CD they'll be making with the Kansas City Chorale.
