Randy Kinkel

Randy Kinkel believes that we all need a little art in our lives!  That's why he's so passionate about the Music he shares with you on KBACH. He's proud to be a Longtime Phoenician and KBAQ Veteran--one of the KBACH "pioneers" who first signed on the station in 1993.  He keeps you company Saturdays 2-8 and Sundays 10-4. Randy is also host of the popular "Mozart Buffet" Sunday at noon, and "This Week in Classical Music". heard Tuesdays at 6 pm.  He also picks most of the music you hear during the week.

Randy's connections to local arts run deep; he's an artist and former gallery owner whose Red Dog Gallery just off Roosevelt Row provided a venue for emerging and well-known artists and craftspeople; he partners with locally-owned Changing hands Bookstore in Tempe every month with "Book Notes" a book club for music lovers, when he reviews a book hand-picked for lovers of the arts, heard the first Friday of every month at 6 and again the following Sunday at 2 pm; it's also available on the website, kbaq.org.  His artwork can be seen at "The Artery" at 7th and Indian School in Phoenix, and at his facebook page, facebook.com/randy.kinkel. His latest obsessions are vintage audio equipment, gardening and playing trumpet. 

Randy and his wife Nancy share their lives with a brindle lab/pitbull mix named Mitzvah and a Whippet/Pit named Matzoball, both rescued from the mean streets of Phoenix.  Both two-legged family members strongly support animal rescue organizations. Several of Randy's art pieces have been donated and auctioned off to help raise money for Valley spay/neuter programs and shelters.
