The newest addition to K-BACH’s on air team began his career in radio while a junior music major at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. An internship at KCME 88.7 FM turned into a daily shift hosting classical music. After graduating in 2007, Joe began work as a classical music host and producer for Vermont Public Radio. At VPR, he hosted a daily classical music program in addition to creating numerous special programs in partnerships with local classical music organizations. Currently he is serving as the Music Director for WFIU 103.7 FM in Bloomington, Indiana, in addition to his announcing duties at KBAQ.
In addition to his radio career, Joe has many music performances to his credit, including appearances at Spoleto Festival USA and Jazz at Lincoln Center as a member of the Colorado College Bowed Piano Ensemble. He has also performed multiple concerts around Vermont as a chamber music pianist and as member of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Vermont Choral Union, and Burlington Choral Society.
Joe is an avid golfer, a mediocre skier, and a reasonably competent fantasy football player. He and his wife Meghann enjoy traveling, taking in concerts whenever they can, and food and drink with good friends.
