Beginning Wednesday, January 29th, at 7:30pm, and running through Sunday, February 2, 2014, the historic Icehouse in downtown Phoenix will be transformed into the interior mindscape of the fictional composer, Bastian Bachmann: The Seven Layers of Bastian Bachmann. If you've ever thought about going back and picking up that old instrument you used to play as a kid, Ari Goldman's book "The Late Starter orchestra" may just give you the inspiration you need to do it.  Goldman, a former new York Times Reporter and Author of the book "The Search For God at Harvard", now teaches Journalism at Columbia, but once upon a time, he was a cellist.  or at least a cello student.  he decides to start playing again, and fins the group of amaeur string players called "The Late Starters Orchestra" that meets every week in an abandoned coat factory in Man
